Radiofrequency (RF) microneedling combines tiny sterile needles with thermal radiofrequency energy delivered deep into the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production for both the face and body.

How It Works for Face and Body

  • Face, Neck, & Décolletage: Tightens mild skin laxity, smooths fine lines and wrinkles, shrinks enlarged pores, and improves acne scars.
  • Body (Abdomen, Arms, Thighs, & Knees): Firms crepey or sagging skin post-weight loss or pregnancy, smooths texture, and reduces the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite.
  • Abdomen: Helps reduce laxity often seen after pregnancy or weight changes.
  • Arms: Targets “crepey” or sagging skin on the upper arms.
  • Thighs: Firms and smooths skin that may loosen due to aging or body composition changes.

Benefits of RF Microneedling

  • Stimulates natural collagen and elastin production.
  • Provides gradual, natural-looking skin tightening.
  • Minimal downtime compared to surgery.
  • Safe for multiple skin types and tones.

Treatment Protocol & Recovery

  • Sessions: Typically requires 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance once or twice a year.
  • Downtime: Expect mild redness, warmth, and minor swelling lasting 24 to 72 hours.
  • Results: Initial improvements show in 2 to 4 weeks, with full collagen remodelling taking 3 to 6 months.

Who is a good candidate for RF microneedling?

Most patients are suitable candidates, especially those looking to treat issues like fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, or sagging skin.

Is the procedure painful?

Patients may experience some discomfort, but a topical anaesthetic is applied before the procedure to minimize pain. Most describe the sensation as a mild prickling or warming feeling.

What treatments can you combine with RF microneedling?

Though RF microneedling is an excellent skin rejuvenation treatment on its own, HIFU, Peels and Serums will add benefit and enhanced results.

Who will not be good candidate for RF microneedling?

  • Women during menstruation, pregnancy and lactation.
  • Pacemakers or internal defibrillators, or other metal perforations or implants anywhere in the body should be used with caution.
  • The current skin is undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, cryotherapy should be used with caution.

  • Any active skin conditions in the treatment area, such as ulcers, psoriasis, eczema and rashes, open lacerations, skin damage and abrasions or lesions, inflammation and allergic conditions are prohibited.
  • It is not recommended for patients with a history of thermal stimulation diseases, such as herpes simplex recurrence in the treatment area.
  • People with severe scar constitution, poor coagulation mechanism, keloids, abnormal wound healing and very dry and fragile skin should use it with caution.
  • Immunosuppressive diseases, such as AIDS and HIV immunosuppressive diseases or immune system damage caused by the use of immunosuppressive drugs, should be used with caution.
  • Serious concurrent diseases, such as heart disease, sensory disturbance, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, patients with liver and kidney diseases, leukemia patients, and vitiligo patients should be used with caution.
  • Poor control of endocrine disorders, such as diabetes or thyroid dysfunction and masculinization of hormones.
